Where we come from
Grandfather Stanisław Brodzikowski (1894–1969) was born in April 1894 in Praga, a district of Warsaw, the son of Bolesław, a locksmith from Sadowne on the river Bug. Through Bolesław the family goes back to Piotr Paweł (1837–1920), Wojciech (married in 1824) and Antoni Brodzikowski. Read more in the history of this line.
Stanisław and his wife Bronisława née Polkowska (1900–1960) rest together in the municipal cemetery in Bolesławiec. They had four children: a daughter, Halina (1927–1991), and three sons. All of today’s branches of the family, in Poland and in Denmark, descend from them.
